Why Does It Hurt So Much?

Posted on: July 21, 2011

A Human being is a bundle of emotions. Love, anger, hatred, jealousy, happiness, sadness, and various other emotions play an important role in a person’s life. Some people are able to hide their emotions cleverly. Whereas others are too sensitive to hide their emotions. They let it all be known to the other person how hurt they’ve felt. Are such people weak by nature?

Sometimes people don’t keep the promises they make. Why do they do it? Why do the unfulfilled promises hurt so much?

Sometimes people go on boasting about themselves. They underrate others and try to humiliate them indirectly. Why do they do it? Why does that type of arrogant behaviour hurt so much?

Sometimes nostalgia doesn’t leave us alone easily. Those sweet memories tend to turn bitter and threaten to hurt us. Why does nostalgia hurt us so much?

Sometimes we tend to turn to books to forget our worries and tensions. But the lines and characters in the book end up reminding us the very things we want to forget. We end up feeling hurt. Why does it hurt  so much?

Sometimes important thoughts slip away from us. These are the thoughts that, we thought, had the miraculous solutions for our problems. Why their slipping away cause so much of hurt?

Many things tend to leave us hurt and disappointed. Why? Why on earth is there so much of hurt? Instead can’t there be only happiness?
